Privacy Policy

Version 2026-10-07 · Effective 2026-10-07

Who we are

Proadcast (proadcast.ing) helps people describe what they need and find a working product for it. In this policy “we” means the Proadcast operator. Questions or requests: Email brightiny9@gmail.com.

What we collect

  • Your account: your email address, the display name you choose (or the one your Google or GitHub account offers), and, if you sign in with Google or GitHub, the identity that provider gives us (its user id for you, and the name, email and picture on that account). Passwords are stored only as a hash by our sign-in provider.
  • Your consent: when you accepted these documents and which version, and whether (and since when) you agreed to marketing email.
  • What you submit: the text of a need when you open a product while signed in, a product listing if you list one (name, addresses, categories and its health-check results), articles you write, and agent tokens you create (we keep only a hash of each token).
  • Product activity: when a product appears in your results while you are signed in, we record that it was shown for your need and which of your words it matched; its maker sees only counts and those words, never your text. If you open a product, its maker also sees that need's text on their product page, as with the handoff below. These records are deleted with the need.
  • Daily counts: how many needs were submitted, results pages viewed and products opened each day. These are totals only, with no account, IP address, browser details, cookie or text attached.
  • Crawler visit counts: per day, how many times known search and AI crawlers (for example Googlebot) fetched our pages, by crawler name and kind of page. No IP address or full user agent is stored.

What we do not collect

  • A search you only preview on the results page without signing in is used to rank products for that page and is not stored.
  • We do not store IP addresses or browser details in our database, and we use no advertising or analytics trackers.

Cookies and browser storage

  • Sign-in cookies that keep you signed in (set by our sign-in provider).
  • A language cookie, and your theme choice stored in your browser.
  • A search you typed before signing in is kept in your browser tab until you sign in or sign out.

Why we use it

  • To run your account and sign you in.
  • To show you products that match your need, and to let the product you choose read that need (see below).
  • To show your published articles with your display name.
  • To understand, in totals only, whether Proadcast is being used and found.
  • To email you about Proadcast news only if you opted in. You can turn that off any time in Settings. Account emails (confirming sign-up, resetting a password) are always sent.

Who else sees it

When you open a product for a need, that product receives a link that lets it read the text of your need (not your name or email) for 24 hours. Choose what you write with that in mind.

Your display name appears next to articles you publish. Nothing else about you is public.

We do not sell your data. These services process it for us:

  • Supabase: sign-in (accounts, sessions, sign-in emails) and our database (Postgres), where everything above is stored.
  • Vercel: hosts the website. Like any web host it handles the requests your browser sends, including your IP address, under its own policy; we do not copy those into our database.
  • Google and GitHub: only if you choose to sign in with them.
  • Google PageSpeed Insights: we send it the addresses of our own public pages to measure their speed. No personal data is sent.

How long we keep it

  • Your account data, needs, product listing, articles and tokens: until you delete them or your account.
  • Daily counts and crawler visit counts: kept, since they contain no personal data.
  • Our providers may keep logs and backups for a limited time under their own policies.

Deleting your account

Go to Settings and choose “Delete my account”. As soon as you confirm:

  • Your email, phone number, password, sign-in methods (Google, GitHub or email) and every session are removed from our sign-in provider, and you are signed out on every device.
  • Your display name is replaced by “Deleted member” and marketing email is turned off.
  • Your needs, your product listing, your unpublished and trashed articles are deleted, and your agent tokens stop working.
  • Articles you published stay up, shown under “Deleted member”. If you want them removed too, unpublish or delete them before deleting your account, or email us.
  • What remains is an internal account id with its dates and the fact that it was deleted, so published articles keep an author and the account cannot be used again. It holds no email, name or password.
  • You can sign up again later with the same email or Google/GitHub account; it will be a new, separate account.

Your rights

You can see and change your name and email choices in Settings, and delete your account there at any time. To get a copy of your data or ask anything else about it: Email brightiny9@gmail.com.

Changes

When this policy changes in a way that matters, we will ask you to agree again before you use member features. The version below is the date it took effect.
